Why the British Armed Services Cannot Work Together
#1
For those who do not understand the British armed forces!

One of the reasons the services have trouble operating jointly is that they don't speak the same language.

For example:

If you ordered them to secure a building;

The Royal Navy would close all the windows, turn off the lights and lock the door.
The Royal Marines would occupy the building.
The Army would assault the build, capture it and prepare it for defence.
The Royal Air Force would take out a three year lease with an option to buy.

Now for those who further need an explanation about British armed forces rivalry and humour that is a whole other story.

Just remember the RAF would use it as a hotel to spend time in whilst the others paid for it

Ah the days of a 5 star hotel in the Gulf ???

As Mark.C has raised the inter-service accommodation issue, try this one

A sailor, a soldier, a marine and an airman are asked, "What would you do if you found a scorpion in your tent?"

The sailor replied " I would take off my boot and hit the scorpion with it."
The soldier replied "I would simply stomp on it."
The marine replied "I would stomp on it and then eat it."
The airman replied I would call room service and ask them what the damn tent was doing in my room."
